Parkinson’s Blues

I got the old time Parkinson’s blues, How I went and got ‘em, I have no clue,

They tell me I’m low on dopamine, I guess I got a problem, in my genes,

I know it ain’t really good news, but I got theold time Parkinson’s blues.

I got the old time Parkinson’s blues, rapid moves I just can’t do,

My handwriting’s smaller every day, mybalance is off, I lean and sway,

It’s not a way of life I’d ever choose, but I got theold time Parkinson’s blues.

I got the old time Parkinson’s blues, everything’s shakin’ cept my shoes,

I got cogwheel rigidity, and postural instability,

But it’s a battle I don’t choose to lose. I got theold time Parkinson’s blues.

I got the old time Parkinson’s blues, how I went and got ‘em, I have no clue,

I got impaired dexterity, maybe from environmental toxicity,

I could throw in the towel, but I refuse, just got the old time Parkinson’s blues,

Sometimes I get a little confused, I got theold time Parkinson’s blues,

I’m not tryin’ to make up an excuse, but I got theold time Parkinson’s blues,

When you got the blues you gotta pay your dues, I got theold time Parkinson’s blues.
